Tuesday is Filing Day in Missouri

County offices

In St. Louis City, the county offices on ballot will be Circuit Attorney, Treasurer, and Sheriff.

In St. Louis County, the county offices on ballot will be County Council seats in Districts 2, 4, and 6.

Elsewhere in Missouri, most county ballots will include

Beginning Tuesday, also filing will be candidates for ward/township committeewomen and committeemen for the Democratic Party, Republican Party, Constitution Party, and Libertarian Party.

Interesting to note, in some counties, but not St. Louis City or St. Louis County, not only do candidates pay a filing fee to their county political party committees but they also pay a fee to their counties.

In St. Louis City, the filing fee to run for a ward Democratic Party committeewoman or committeeman seat is $100, while the filing fee for citywide office is only $50.

The last day to file for the Primary is March 29th.

Missouri Presidential Primary Absentee Voting Underway

voteboxYou may, if you meet the requirements, vote in person at Board of Elections or request Absentee Mail Ballot for the Presidential Primary. By mail, you will need to have your ballot notarized before submitting to St. Louis City Election Board. If you need a notary for your Absentee Ballot, call 436-5311.
