6:30 pm Thursday, February 23rd
Molly’s, 816 Geyer
From the Nextdoor post on the event:
“Cathy Horejes, Chief Deputy Juvenile Officer from the Special Services Division of the 22nd Judicial Circuit will explain how the juvenile system works and how we can better work with juvenile authorities and SLMPD given the growing number of juvenile crimes in the City.
This is a chance to become better informed and learn where the system is working, where it could use help and begin considering changes on how we, as citizens, can work to improve how juvenile cases are handled.”
Aldermen and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department have also been invited.
I have concerns that this meeting may end up a tough on crime focusing on incarceration, more police, more cameras meeting with little attention to economics, prevention, and recidivism.
