Grow1#9 DO NOT Answer the Grow Missouri (Rex Sinquefield) Privatization Consultants Door to Door Survey of 100,000 St. Louis City homes. We don’t really know what they are doing with this information. It could be they are data mining to target voters, not only for a vote on Airport Privatization but also other ballot issues on Sinquefield’s Agenda.

#10 DO NOT Submit your Comments on Airport Privatization to the Grow Missouri (Rex Sinquefield) Privatization Consultants. This flyer is being used by the Consultants in their citywide canvass. It says “Please Give Us Your Take On This” at http://www.fly314.com/contact/. But, like the Survey, we don’t really know what they are doing with this information. It could be they are data mining to target voters, not only for a vote on Airport Privatization but also other ballot issues on Sinquefield’s Agenda.

Contact E&A To Move Election Day Airport Privatization Meeting

Make your voice heard! Transparency issues/complaints are abundant with the Airport Privatization process in St. Louis. Unlike the City’s Board of Estimate and Apportionment and Board of Aldermen and BOA Committee meetings/hearings, the Airport Advisory Working Group does not record meetings and post to YouTube.

Now they have scheduled a meeting on Election Day when Media and many civic minded people will be preoccupied with the Primary Election and unable to attend. Per the Agenda, this could be one of the most important meetings on airport privatization.

Please contact Airport Advisory Working Group members and demand the meeting date be changed.

Advisory Working Group – Voting Members
Mayor Lyda Krewson 314-622-3201 – email

Agenda

Agenda Item #5 is interesting. The Comptroller, who voted against the Airport Privatization Consultant Contract with ties to Rex Sinquefield, is now asking for an amendment to the contract.

In other Lambert Airport news, Lambert is getting $10.2 Million from the FAA to repair runway 12L/30R & lighting system for the runway. It’s one of 450 grants in 49 states. The matching funds required from City are $3.4 Million. According to 20th Ward Alderwoman Cara Spencer, if the airport was privately run, the City’s match increase by 20%, another $750,000.

City Online Calendar Meeting Notice/Agenda

In the event that the “Committee For Airport Advisory Services In The Potential Lease Of St. Louis Lambert International Airport” approves the contract for consultant services with ties to Rex Sinquefield at its Tuesday meeting, E&A would vote on the contract at the Wednesday E&A meeting.

Comptroller Darlene Green could be the second of two votes the Mayor needs to approve the contract. There was an agreement reached regarding financial oversight by Comptroller. It’s generally thought this secured Green’s vote for the contract.
