Some of the 2016-2017 BOA Session’s first proposals include…

Board Bill 3 by 22nd Ward Alderman Jeffrey Boyd would create a waste tire program for St. Louis, an effort to address waste tires, a serious environmental issue. Might be some grant money for us from the State.

Board Bill 7 by 20th Ward Alderwoman Cara Spencer would prohibit semi truck traffic along parts of Chippewa, Keokuk, Osage, and Kosciusko.

Board Bill 11 by 7th Ward Alderman Jack Coatar for Zoning changes to Downtown and LaSalle Park Neighborhoods.

Board Bill 21 by 1st Ward Alderwoman Sharon Tyus to remove stock option related income from earnings tax exemption. She had also filed this proposal, or a similar one, late 2015-2016 Session.

Board Bill 30 by 7th Ward Alderman Jack Coatar to create a Wharf Vending District and  Riverfront Vending Committee comprised of St. Louis Port Authority Manager, City Special Events Director, City Streets Director, Executive Director of Great Rivers Greenway and another member designated by the Executive Director of Great Rivers Greenway.

Board Bill 36 by 28th Ward Alderwoman Lyda Krewson, 2nd Ward Alderwoman Dionne Flowers, 15th Ward Alderwoman Megan Green, 20th Ward Alderwoman Cara Spencer to create a Prescription Drug Monitoring Program in partnership with St. Louis County. Board Bill 40 by 28th Ward Alderwoman Lyda Krewson and 20th Ward Alderwoman Cara Spencer relating to drug overdoses and medical assistance.

6th Ward Alderwoman Chrissy Ingrassia is sponsoring Resolution #5 regarding the City applying for a grant from Missouri Land and Water Conservation Fund to improve Aloe Plaza across from Union Station Downtown.
