Agenda includes “Discuss addition of the Civilian Oversight Board ordinance amendments that add subpoena power and the bill expanded the time case processing to the website.” Seems odd to discuss this instead of just doing it.

This is a meeting on one of two board bills relating to Airbnbs introduced last week. It’s not clear from the meeting notice that this is a hearing where public testimony will be taken. This could be an introductory meeting with a public hearing tba, possibly on an evening or weekend. Just not sure. Will update if I find out.

If you google “short term rental” in News, you’ll see this is an issue all over the country.

There is a companion bill, Board Bill 221, not currently on the Agenda.

Soulard Special Business District still does not post budgets. Their website has a 2016 pie chart showing percentages to various categories.  That’s not a budget. This is Soulard Special Business District’s 2018 Budget approved by Board of Aldermen: Note, 2018 Budget included $300,000 for “General Security Provider,” That’s TCF. The Budget also provided $10,000 for “Recognition – TCF Officers.”
