Volunteers Needed For June 30th Voter Registration Booth

register-to-vote7th Ward Independent Democrats will be hosting a Voter Registration Booth on Saturday, June 30th at Nadine’s, 1931 S 12th, during the Soulardwide Yard Sale (Nadine’s is where people will pick up map) and Soulard Art in the Garden Tour (begins/ends at Soulard Station same block as Nadine’s).

We’ll also be offering assistance on Voter Photo IDs and Free Lemonade (or Iced Tea, not sure yet).

Volunteer Shifts will be 7-9 am, 9 am to Noon, Noon to 3 pm. Please contact Marie 314-630-7599 to volunteer.

We’re putting out some extra notice on this since that day is also a 7th Ward canvass day and people have already committed to that.

Monday Drinking Liberally Juneteenth Happy Hour

State Rep. Bruce Franks will not be with us Monday Night due to Governor Eric Greitens calling yet another special session to raise his national profile and to distract from ethics inquiries at home.

Alderwoman Sharon Tyus will speak on Board Bill 37  relating to Confederate Memorials and we hope to have a speaker on the Voter Photo ID lawsuit.

Tuesday Drinking Liberally Ballot Issue Happy Hour

JunedlJoin the Left-Leaning Community to discuss two Constitutional Amendments on the November 8th ballot with two A-List Guest Speakers from 6:30-8:30 pm Tuesday at our Drinking Liberally Happy Hour @ Nadine’s Gin Joint, 1931 S 12th, Soulard.

Ed Smith, Policy Director, Missouri Coalition for the Environment, will speak on Amendment 1: Parks, Soil, Water Sales Tax Renewal.

Denise Lieberman, Senior Attorney, Voter Protection Program, Advancement Project, will speak on Amendment 6: Voter Photo IDs.

Bruce Franks, Jr. will provide an update on the 78th District re-vote case.
